Free Eye Camp to Combat Blindness at Juba Teaching Hospital in August 2026

The press release from the African Cooperation Organization for Development and Humanitarian Aid announces a free eye camp at Juba Teaching Hospital to treat eye diseases and reduce blindness, scheduled from August 1 to August 7, 2026. The camp will feature a team of eye specialists and surgeons from the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan. It aims to treat 6,000 patients, perform 500 eye surgeries, and distribute 2,500 pairs of medical glasses. The initiative is part of broader humanitarian efforts to address blindness and provide necessary health services to vulnerable groups. The organization encourages those in need to attend and requests media coverage to raise awareness about eye health.
