CESCSN Press Statement-Peace & Security Setback in CES, 20th Feb 2026

The Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network (CESCSN) has issued a press statement addressing the alarming rise in cattle-related violent conflicts in Lainya and Yei River Counties, as well as fatal inter-clan clashes in Terekeka County, which have resulted in numerous casualties and significant distress among local populations. The statement expresses concern about the ongoing violence, loss of lives, destruction of property, and threats to food security and economic stability for vulnerable communities, particularly farmers.
