FACT-CHECK: This World Food Programme massive recruitment advertisement is fake

There is no official advert of a “mass recruitment” drive offering 50,000 jobs with age limits of 18–40 on the WFP job websites.

This World Food Programme massive recruitment advertisement is fake

claim widely spread on WhatsApp groups for a mass recruitment of 50,000 jobs at WFP in 2025 is false.

The claim written in bold letters is “MASS RECRUITMENT AT WFP 2025 JOBS. WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME (WFP). The 2025 RECRUITMENT form is available and recruitment has begun for anyone interested between the ages of 18 and 40 More than 50,000 job opportunities. All nationalities are eligible to apply.”

On clicking the link, however, the form asks one to fill in his/her personal information, from names to education level. The form finally asks the applicant to share the form with friends and WhatsApp groups in order to claim the job.

Debunking the Claim:

Running the link through VirusTotal, a free online tool used to find out the authenticity of digital links, three vendors found that the link was embedded with phishing links. These links steal the information of the user using a trick called social engineering, in this case by filling in your personal information through the form.

Secondly, the link making rounds is not the official careers website of the World Food Programme as claimed.

The official WFP website above, where job adverts are placed, doesn’t have these claimed jobs.

Our Verdict:

The ClarityDesk has found that the claim circulating in WhatsApp groups stating WFP is conducting massive recruitment in 2025 is false. The link is used as a social engineering trick to steal important personal information of unsuspecting users. Official WFP job opportunities are posted on their careers portal and through the UN job boards website.
