A viral Facebook photo allegedly showing a lady presenting part of a goat during a village gathering is false.

“A photo going viral shows a young woman presenting part of a goat during a village gathering, with elders and other community members watching closely,” the photo caption shared on Facebook reads in part.

The image was reposted on Facebook by Langkuei Media, Agwelek Media TV, and Aweil Daily News accounts, claiming that a woman is presenting a testicle to her people.

Debunking the Claim:

A Google reverse image search, a way of looking up a photo’s history of use online, returned no exact results of the same image being used in the past.

When the photo was uploaded to Hive Moderation, an AI-Generated Content Detection software, the result shows that the image was generated by AI.

Analysis scan results by AI detectator, Image Whisperer also show that it is an AI-generated composite rather than a candid photograph. The image lacks the natural noise and lighting inconsistencies found in real-world photography, pointing to a synthetic origin.

Another sign that shows the image is AI generated is the Gemini AI watermark on the bottom right edge of the image.

Our Verdict:

The ClarityDesk finds the viral image, where a woman is allegedly presenting part of a goat during a village gathering, to be false. The photo is AI-generated.
